Placerville Shakespeare Club – “As You Like It!”
A noble Great Room (40′ x 56′) is available for multiple uses. This is a large room with enough space for 200 guests. Tables can be round or rectangular – your choice. The tables seat 8-10 people each and are included in the rental fee. The room has ample lighting and windows on one side. At the end of the great hall there is a theater-type Stage with a formal curtain and steps from the front of the stage or from the small room on the side. Renters use the Great Room for weddings, receptions, concerts, recitals, dances, banquets, presentations, and theater.
The stage has a small dressing room. Guests enter the Great Room through the Foyer (20′ x 20′) which serves as an outside entrance to the greeting area for attendant ticket taking or guest book signing. The Foyer also has a coat room and restroom entrances.
Adjacent to the Great Room is the Fireside Room (17′ x 41′) where food serving tables and a portable bar are located. A pass-thru window and door connect to the kitchen.
The Kitchen is equipped with upright freezer, double-sided commercial refrigerator, 6 burner electric stove with large oven, microwave oven, 2 large convection ovens, 3 sinks and coffee makers. Provision for refuse is located at an outside trash dumpster. Renters provide their own dishes, serviceware, pots and pans.
Parking is located at one lighted 18-vehicle lot next to the building. Across Spring Street is another 28-vehicle lot. On-street parking is allowed by the City. Additional parking can be requested.
